Final Reflection for Cet 103.

It will be my last reflection of Cet 103. It was very helpful for me. I remember that when I wrote my first reflection in the beginning of the semester, I had some expectations about this course. Now, I learned some new tools about web 2.0 such as Prezi, Blogger, Wordle. I will be using them for my assignments. Thanks to Hakan Şentürk. In addition, I want to say something about this course. Now it is finished, in my opinion it should be compulsory for every year because we will be an English teacher. Nevertheless to say, when we have students, they should be educated effectively with the help of this course. Thank you for everything.

 I’ve learned that social networks about education and teaching methods which are Penzu, Edmodo, Edublog, Wikispace, Tagxedo, Voice Thread, Screencast, Ppworks, Wordle, Wordpress, Gmail, Facebook, Prezi, Tumblr, Evernote, Dropbox, IMDB, Dvolver Videomaker, Quizlet. Now,  I want to mention about them. To exemplify, Quizlet which is a programme and also especially is vocabulary quizzes. When I am  a teacher, I will be applying it in my lessons. In my opinion, it is beneficial to learn new vocabularies for the pupils. When they pick up new words, they may have enjoyable time. Consequently, knowledge might be permanently. Besides, Prezi is my second favourite network because it is a presentation program. I can utilise it to create material as preparing a presentation. Moreover, Wordle is an also essential part for reading and writing lessons. For example, when some reading and writing material is prepared by instructors, they can write common or fundamental words and it might be useful methods. After preparing, they may be predicted by the students what they are.

Today, some social networks which were Facebook, Twitter were treated and I joined the Facebook group of Cet 103. Furthermore, the course was so useful and enjoyable for me. Firstly, some sentences were written by Hakan Şentürk and then we filled that with some comments. Therefore, some odd and different sentences were written by me and my friends and we had funny times in the classroom. In other words, we used freedom of our expressions. Secondly, we discussed the topic which was some pupils and their instructors should be friends on the social networks. Moreover, it was useful for us because a picture was shared on the Facebook page and we predicted that what it is. Besides, we commented some sentences which were famous and known by people. What is more, I hoped that this course will be beneficial to our social skills. We have learned that how we can use the time line on twitter.

   The last course of Cet 103, I have learned that some new techniques which were effective skills, while preparing some assignments. I am grateful to Hakan Şentürk. Now I want to explain it. Firstly, while I was writing my assignments, unfortunately I could make mistakes. For example, I could delete everything so I had to start over to write them. However, I learned that if you deleted something, you could not start over to write because when you press control and ‘z’, text will be come. Moreover, the language of the computer was Turkish so sometimes I could misspell, but I will write the correct anymore. When I press control and ‘A’, I can choose English Language.

Expectation

It was my first day of the Cet 103 on Thursday. I had looked at the curriculum of this semester, I saw Cet 103 which is the basic computer skills course and I thought that I would not find out it because I have not skill about computer. Although I have not skill about it, I can write some assignments about all classes but I could not utilize it in effectively. Fortunately, I believe that I can be taught it by Hakan Şentürk. Moreover, I hope that I’ll be learning how I can use computer by the end of the course. Besides, it is expected that I will learn Microsoft Word Basics, Microsoft PowerPoint Basics, Google Apps, Using Videos in the Classroom, Using Pictures in the Classroom, Mobile Learning, and Social Networks. Needless to say that while I learn some computer skills, and also my English Language can be improved. I am strongly believed that I will be pleasured to Hakan Şentürk.
